New Yorkers For Children hosted our Tenth Network to Success, focused on music, film, and television industries on Wednesday, May 7th at the NYU Kimmel Center. The Friends and Board Members of NYFC were instrumental in securing some of the most successful and prominent professionals from the entertainment industry, including actress Joy Bryant, music video director Hype Williams, film producer of Indiana Jones and the Crystal Skull David Koepp, Warner Music Group EVP Kevin Liles, FOX morning show host Mike Jerrick, and Oscar-winning film producer Bill Goldman. More than 150 young people in foster care were inspired by the panelists, who stressed the importance of education as a safety net when pursuing your dreams.

Among the NYFC supporters in attendance to celebrate the Tenth Network to Success were Dayssi Olarte de Kanavos, Donya Archer Bommer, Susan Burden, Norma Becker, and Howard Kuo and Rory Hermelee, whose dedication to the planning of this event helped to make it our most successful to date.

In addition to enjoying the panel presentation and round table discussions with the panelists, the youth in attendance participated in a job readiness workshop presented by FEGS. The young people learned about networking and professional etiquette and were able to put their newly acquired skills to use. Thank you to FEGS for their support of this important event.
